McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park 🚂
7301 E Indian Bend Rd · Scottsdale
Scottsdale's crown jewel park. Ride the miniature Paradise & Pacific Railroad, spin on the vintage carousel, and explore the air-conditioned model train museum. Shaded playgrounds are excellent for all ages.
Riverview Park — Mesa 🛝
2100 W Rio Salado Pkwy · Mesa
Mesa's best playground destination. A 50-foot Genesis climbing tower and 60-foot caterpillar mesh structure wow older kids; the adjacent splash pad (free, 7 days/week) has water cannons and jets. Separate play zones for ages 2–5 and 6–12.
Anthem Community Park 🦚
41703 N Gavilan Peak Pkwy · Anthem
North of Phoenix, this park is worth the drive. Splash pad is perfectly centered between two playgrounds (easy to watch both). Daisy Mountain Railroad offers train rides around the park. Sand area, skate park, fishing, and a fenced toddler-only playground.
Encanto Park 🦆
2605 N 15th Ave · Central Phoenix
Central Phoenix's crown park. Two large free playgrounds, fishing lagoon, swimming pool, golf course, and the private Enchanted Island Amusement Park (rides for ages 1–10) with a carousel, paddle boats, and mini golf. One of the few parks walkable from the light rail.
Tumbleweed Park — Chandler 🏇
745 E Germann Rd · Chandler
Playtopia is one of the most creative playgrounds in the Valley — themed zones for Farm, City, and Critter Land where kids dig for dinosaur bones and ride trikes on pretend city streets. Most equipment is under a giant barn, making it summer-viable. Zipline + tire swing.
Mansel Carter Oasis Park 🏄
Laveen Area · Phoenix
Home to Phoenix's most famous pirate ship splash pad — a climbable galleon with animal sprayers, dumping buckets, and multiple water cannons. Also has a skate park, fishing lake, playground, and shaded seating areas.
